In Thailand, every household has a different variation on the Nam Phrik recipe. However, Nam Prik has all the same basic ingredients: garlic, fresh chilies, fish sauce and lime juice.\u00a0Thai chilies or also called Bird\u2019s eye chili are one of the hottest chills out there, so once you have been cutting these please make sure you wash your hands really well. I even recommend using gloves cutting these things<\/p>\n


\nRecipe Ingredients:<\/strong>
\n2 large cloves garlic, peeled
\n20 fresh Thai chili peppers (in a variety of colors)
\n1 tbsp fish sauce (nam plah)
\nJuice of 1 large fresh lime
\n1\/2 tsp sugar (optional)<\/p>\n

Recipe Steps:<\/strong>
\nUsing a mortar and pestle, pound the garlic, and chilies into a chunky paste.
\nAdd fish sauce, lime juice, and sugar (if desired). Serve as a condiment to steamed vegetables or grilled meats. Serves 4.
