Thai-Bulgarian story

Welcome in the land of the smiles:-) Let's see the Thai life style through a "farang"(foreigner in Thai)  man's vision. It’s a crowded and chaos country. Incredibly laid back. No one seems particularly bothered by anything in particular…The lifestyle is loud. In all honestly, we can learn a lot from the way that the Thai people go about their life. It’s fascinating… you gotta admire them for it… They don’t seem to be too overly serious about world issues.

รักเธอ ประเทศไทย

The city of angel

In fact, the capital’s official full name is “Krungthep, Maha Nakorn,*Amorn Ratanakosindra, Mahindrayudhya, Mahadilokpop Noparatana Rajdhani, Burirom, Udom Rajnivet Mahastan, Amorn Pimarn Avatarn Satit, Sakkatuttiya Vishnukarm prasit” which may be translated into English as follow : “The city of angel, the great city, the residence of the Emerald Buddha, the impregnable city [of Ayutthaya] of God Indra, the grand capital of the world endowed with the nine precious gems, the happy city, abounding in enormous royal palaces which resemble the heavenly abode where reigns the reincarnated God, a city given by Indra and built by Vishnukarm”. Due to its over a hundred romanised letters, the capital earns a listing in the Guiness Book of record as the World’s longest place-name.

Your first few days in Bangkok will be unforgettable...hyperactive transport, striking street vendors, the trucks and motorcycles always run and make big noise, at the night the city is totally change. When the banks close, start the night market where you can find everything, open small street restaurants, just on the pavement, and you can feel the exotic aromatic of the testy thai food, which you can find everywhere on the street. Bangkok never sleep, so maybe about this they call it The angel city. But there you can find amazing thing that will you surprise you...  Being in Thailand is just like being on some island with pretty girls! Seem like women is more from the men, because everywhere on the street you can see a lot of young girls. Actually, Bangkok is made up of two words, namely ; “Bang” and “Kok”, signifying a “village” or “district” on the river and a “wild olive like fruit” respectively. Thus, it means the “village of olives” which was formerly just a smell fishing villa
ge. Unually Thai people call their capital by its short form “Krung Thep” which means “City of Angels”.

Why travel to Thailand

Thailand is a big country with a diverse landscape. Well, there’s many good reasons to visit Thailand. And one reason in particular that I notice over and over in my travels around Thailand is what I call the ‘beautiful friendliness’ of the Thai people. Thais are generally shy people and few are likely to walk up to you and engage in conversation.

One of the main reasons people travel is to explore other cultures and establish how other countries and cultures do things. It is then quite remarkable then to see people wandering around the kingdom imposing their cultural approach on the situations and events they encounter.

Thailand’s capital and gateway city is Bangkok which was founded in 1782 by King Rama I [Phra Buddha Yodra chulaloke]. The capital is located at the geographic centre of the country and on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, “River of King”, which rises in the hills of the North and flows through the flat central plains on its way to the sea in the Gulf of Thailand.
